This was my first styrofoam-vaporization piece created as a student. The original sculpture and sprue system were made out of styrofoam pieces glued together and then packed in wet sand. The molten bronze is then poured onto the styrofoam which is instantly vaporized while the wet sand holds the textured shape of the piece.
